Cheesy Chili Dip
Add a fiesta touch to any party with this hearty dip.
1 lb. mild Mexican processed cheese with jalapeno peppers, cubed
2 cups Torilla chips
2 lbs. ground beef
2 cups chopped onions
2 garlic gloves, minced
2 cans (28 oz.) tomatoes, un-drained, cut up
2 cans (15 oz.) tomato sauce
1 1/2 cups HOLLAND HOUSE Red Cooking Wine
6 tsp. chili powder
2 tsp. cumin
1 green bell pepper, chopped
2 cans (15 1/2 oz.) kidney beans, drained
First make the Hearty Chili: In large saucepan, brown ground beef or turkey with onions; drain. Add remaining ingredients except green pepper and kidney beans.
Bring to a boil; reduce heat. Simmer uncovered 1 hour, stirring occasionally.
Stir in green pepper and kidney beans; simmer until thoroughly heated. Once chili done, in medium saucepan, combine cheese and chili. Cook over low heat until cheese is melted, stirring constantly.
Serve warm with tortilla chips.
