Japanese Style Beef Steaks



4 pieces beef, steak cuts 
Black pepper, coarsely ground, to taste
1/2 cup roasted sesame seeds, partially ground 
2 Tbsp. cooking oil 
2 Tbsp. onion, grated 

2 Tbsp. Mizkan HONTERI® Mirin Seasoning
1 Tbsp. Mizkan Rice Vinegar 
1 Tbsp. rice wine (sake) 
2 Tbsp. soy sauce


Combine all seasonings (Honmirin or Honteri, grain vinegar, cooking wine and soy sauce) in a microwavable bowl, cover and microwave 1 to 2 minutes to make steak sauce.

Sprinkle coarsely ground black pepper and ground sesame seeds on both sides of steaks and press firmly onto the meat.

Heat frying pan, coating the pan with cooking oil evenly. Arrange the steaks around the frying pan and brown both sides of steaks until the meat is cooked to the desired doneness.

Cut each steak into several slices for ease of eating, and arrange the steak on a plate with the steak sauce. Garnish as desired.
